LeBron Raymone James Sr. is an American basketball professional who is a player with the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. King James, he's widely considered to be the most successful basketball player ever and is often compared Michael Jordan during debates about the greatest basketball player of all time. James is the winner of 4 NBA champions. Four NBA MVPs. Four NBA Finals MVPs. Three All-Star MVPs. And two Olympic gold medals. James had more points than any other player during the playoffs, has had the second most points in his career and is seventh in career assists. James has 18 NBA All-Stars, 18 All-NBA Teams and Five NBA All-Defensive First Team selections. He has competed in 10 NBA Finals the third most ever, including eight times in a row between the years of 2011 and 2018. James was selected for the NBA 75th Anniversary Team in 2021. In 2022, he became one of the few NBA player to earn 10,000 career points. James played basketball with St. Vincent St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio. He was hailed by the national press as the next NBA superstar. In 2003, the Cleveland Cavaliers selected him with the first pick of the NBA draft in 2003. As the NBA rookie player of 2004, he established his name quickly as one of the most elite players in the league. winning the NBA MVP award for the 2009 and 2010 seasons. James was not able to secure the award with Cleveland, and left the city in 2010 as a "free agent" in 2010. The move was revealed in the TV special The Decision.
